Italian ottavino from EMS ~ Sold ~



This is the famous Early Music Shop ottavino kit based on a small Italian spinet dated around 1595, now  in the Victoria and Albert Museum. It speaks at 4’ pitch (Baroque) , or an octave higher than norm and is the "sine qua non" for your Renaissance Band. At less than 29”  in length and weighing only 11# the Ottavino is the original 'portable early keyboard' and has proved to be a very popular traveling companion for recorder and viol players.
