of a musical instrument is
integral to the effect of its musical art.
This quarter of our shop is in the hands of Lynn Paquin, our resident artist, whose expertise and energy for historical accuracy know no bounds. Lynn is a graduate of RISD and a master goldsmith.
In her hands we are able to provide soundboard, case, and lid painting, along with traditional Flemish style papering, arabesques, and Latin mottos for any instrument whether here in our gallery, in your music room, or under construction in your workshop.
Below are some photos of our most recent project that will be leaving the shop mid March 2021 for Japan. This instrument soundboard and case interior and lid are based on the 1764 Goermans/Taskin in the Edinburgh Collection.
