Harpsichord by John Lyon, 1976 - French double manual instrument, 8’8’4’ buff with full Louis XVI platform stand and gold banding. French style soundboard painting. Transposing 415/440, with keyboard of ebony and bone. Painted black and vermillion with gold banding, the instrument is in excellent condition but has been unplayed for some years. Final photo shows UMich's Marilyn Mason at the instrument- from the late 70's. An exceptional opportunity to acquire the work of a masterbuilder; Offered at $18,500.
