Single manual harpsichord by Rod Regier-Baltimore after Couchet single 1679. Keyboard of bone with ebony sharps BB-d”’ - 52 notes with arcades, with three choirs of strings 8’8’4’. Case and lid interior are painted two tones of red with narrow gold banding in the French style. There are Flemish papers to the key well area and soundboard surround. Soundboard has full arabesques painted in with an elaborate carved rose. Jacks are in wood with delrin quilling. The instrument sits on a turned oak trestle stand. There are some tools, music desk, lid stick and a padded cover with the instrument. Offered at $9800.
