Fully painted and decorated in late French style with faux inset panels and garlands based on the 1760 Stehlin (Smithsonian) instrument. Stand is a Louis XVI turned leg platform stand with faux wood patterning. Achille Christiano was principal cabinet maker for William Dowd, later working at the Hubbard shop. His individual instruments are stunning in craftsmanship and decoration.
