17th Century French double manual harpsichord by Robert Duffy, 2021 bearing similarities to the 1667 instrument (anon.) in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.  The instrument is painted dark blue with light blue interior.  Extraordinary fully painted soundboard and lid by Ted Robertson.  Hand cut parchment rose.  Blond white oak turned trestle stand.   Compass is GG-d’’’, 2x8’, 1x4’, buff, strung in brass with tapered wooden jacks and delrin plectra.  Keyboards are ebony and bone topped holly with hand carved trefoil arcades and elevator screws for seasonal adjustment.  Keyboards transpose one note for a=415.  The case measures 84 1/2” long and 32 1/2” wide with a 6 1/4" octave span.  A padded cover, music stand and full tool kit is included.     Offered at $26,900
