One of my first encounters with the harpsichord ( back in the late 60's was this simple design done up by Eric Herz in Cambridge. These instruments found their way into most serious institutions throughout the country and continue to provide excellent continuo work once given a new incarnation and proper rebuild.
This is a shop instrument of two choirs ( 8'8'and buff). AA-f "' , 1977. Cherry case with ebony keyboard. 74" x 31 with 6 1/4" octave.

If we do a simple work up ( instrument fully playing with existing stringing and voicing- no warranty) ) it is available at $5900. Available one month from contract.
