Late 18th Century Dutch Cabinet Organ

Johannes Stephanus Strümphler ( Lippstadt , 1736 – Amsterdam , 1807 ) was a Dutch organ builder of German descent. There are at least 14 Strumphler instruments in the Greater Amsterdam area. In addition to the large church instruments, he built cabinet and chamber instruments like this one.

Dimensions overall are 52”/132cm H, 57”/145cm W, 27.5”/70cm D. It can be moved easily through any standard doorway. The instrument is currently fully playing using a small Meidinger blower external to the organ. Stops are divided. A sound sample will be posted shortly.
